Course Overview
Many of the washroom facilities continue to under-perform in giving users a pleasant experience. The commercial restroom often has more traffic than any other area of a building, which means it requires regular and consistent cleaning and maintenance. And a clean restroom is important not only to advance a healthier workplace but also to create a positive impression and perception. Needless to say, an unclean public restroom is a reflection of the overall cleanliness of an establishment.
It is one of the most challenging cleaning tasks in the cleaning service provider’s repertoire of contracted jobs.
Until smart technology can help with alerting cleaning crew of toilet roll shortages, soiled tissue, and leaking taps and urinals, cleaning companies still have to continue to ensure that the right staff are performing the right tasks at the right time, thereby simplifying and supporting a regular maintenance and cleaning routine.
This important and essential module equips learners with the knowledge and skills to clean washrooms in public and commercial building, identify types of debris, soilage from washrooms and provides the correct identification of tools and methods to clean washroom fixtures and fittings professionally and efficiently.
At the same time, Cleaning workers and personnel will be better able to understand the importance of their roles and responsibilities as representative of their employers in providing an essential and important service to the general public and customers. Be able to understand and apply implications of maintaining workplace safety and health and recognize their role in making their work environment safe for themselves and other customers, abide by their organisation’s SOPs, policies and procedures, recognize and report unsafe work practices and assist in safety planning and able to report incidents of safety hazards, workplace accidents to the respective stakeholders.
